Hello everyone,

My name is Óscar, student from 1^st year elementary education degree in Ibiza.

After studying for 4 years the Tourism degree (also in Ibiza) I decided starting these studies because is something I really like. This is also due to the many years I’ve been basketball’s coach of boys and girls of those ages (6-12 years).

In this first year we are having English as a subject. I really enjoy English since my parents enrolled me in a private academy when I was 9 years old. I had different teachers over the years but all of them taught me many enjoyable lessons, specially Emily (the teacher I had for more years in the academy) and Paul (my teacher in the university).

In this second part of the year we start English and I really like it because it’s one of my favourite subjects and also because is the international language at the moment, reason why it has a huge importance its learning if you want to work or to communicate with other people. I’m ready to try to do my best with it. My expectations of this subject is to carry on building the knowledge in this language at the same time I learn how to teach it to the young boys and girls of the school.

In this blog I will share all the activities we will do during the following months, so I hope you enjoy and learn more about them.

Goals and expectactions about the subject

Hello everyone,

Today I start with my personal blog for the English subject. During the following 4 months we are going to work the different parts of the language (writing, speaking, listening and reading). The main objective of this blog is to share with other classmates and people interested all the activities we will do over the classes.

I think it is going to be a bit difficult work because we will do activities from a basic level (like reading or listening texts) to other ones with more difficulty (intermediate level texts, create and comment other people’s work or do debates). Moreover, I think this subject will be a chance to learn English in a global way because, a part from the activities, the texts, and so on, it includes working in groups, individually, using web 2.0 tools, etc.

My expectations with this subject are always good. I think I will have to work in a constant and hard way and sometimes I will be feeling stressed and depressed, but I will do my best, because we can always obtain something good.
